Exciting Announcements!!

As we enjoy the lazy days of summer, I have some exciting news to share with everyone!! I have finally been able to refocus my attention on writing and proud to announce the launch dates of not one but two books!!

Earlier in the year, I accepted a challenge and wrote a children’s book called Marisela Discovers Music which is loosely based on my life and music. Music has always been an integral part of my life, so I thought this would be a great idea. My launch date is set for August 1^st which is perfect timing for the 25^th Anniversary of my music studio in September. I can’t even believe it’s been 25 years!!

I’m working on the final edits and the book cover and looking forward to seeing it in print! So now, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Marisela.

If you’re wondering why I chose the name Marisela, well let me explain. When I was in high school, my Spanish teacher chose names for all her students, and you guessed it, she chose Marisela for me, and it stuck. I was always Marisela to her whether in class or in the hallways, and even on graduation day. It became a term of endearment and is one of my fond memories of high school.

I am also in the final stages of completing my parenting book Words of Wisdom from the Everyday Mom. As I mentioned in a previous post, my daughter Amanda is writing a forward and we are including an additional chapter discussing her journey and how our family is handling mental illness. My launch date is set for November 7^th and I will share more details as the date gets closer!

Meanwhile, it’s a beautiful, sunny day here and I will be spending the day outside taking in the sun, swimming in the pool and writing!
