Creating a Playlist

I love creating playlists. I have a playlist for every holiday including Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and yes, July 4th! I create playlists for family events to play quietly in the background and it’s usually from our childhood which adds nostalgia to the celebration.

Each time I begin work on a new show, I create a playlist for inspiration. I spend hours listening to music to make the right choices. It helps get those creative juices flowing when I need to compose or arrange music.

I have playlists for driving, cleaning, cooking, swimming, and for everything else in between. I have lists based on genre and I most recently added a country mix to my library, which is one of my favorites when outside enjoying my pool on a hot summer day.

Music is such a huge part of my life and these playlists take it to a whole new level. If you’ve never put a list together, I highly recommend trying it. You won’t regret it! If you have put playlists together, I’d love to hear what some of your favorites are.

In my book Marisela Discovers Music, I explore Marisela’s passion for music and describe her journey as she decides to become a musician. Some of her favorite artists and groups were Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, Queen, David Bowie, Journey and Elton John. If you’d like to learn more about her journey, please visit Amazon.com : marisela discovers music to purchase my book!

Happy Listening!!
