Every child instinctively knows how to sing and dance. We can all make a joyful noise and move to music that inspires us from a young age. Every culture has its roots in instrumentation and song.
Readers learn about the author’s journey to discover her life’s passion for being a professional musician. From a chance encounter with a summer band camp at her local school as an 8-year-old, through her college auditions, Marisela’s journey through the world of music shows children that they can follow their dreams and that anything is possible if they pursue it.
Children can relate to the young Marisela in this story which doesn’t disguise the hard work and family support it takes to achieve their dreams. Marisela Discovers Music is an excellent lesson in the strength of a family and the value of perseverance.
She never gave up and with family support, persistence, and hard work, her dream became a reality.
