I have been reminded these past few weeks that life can change in an instant and you cannot take anything for granted. So, as I began writing this week’s blog, I found this quote and it really hit home.
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Personally, I try to make the most of each day. I have daily rituals that help me stay focused, remain positive and keep me centered, allowing me to accomplish my tasks of the day. I know for a fact that if I did not take the time to do these things every day, I would not be able to be as effective.
So here’s what I try to do every day.
- I meditate 2 -3 times per day by taking a few minutes to do some deep breathing exercises while clearing my mind of all the static.
- I set aside 20 – 30 minutes per day to write in one of the many journals that I have, including a gratitude journal and daily journal. I have found that journaling is a great way to release stress and allows me to vent and safely write down the things I would never say out loud.
- Each day, I take a moment to appreciate nature, whether it’s a beautiful sunrise or sunset, the flowers in my yard, the clouds in the sky or listening to nature’s music. It’s an even greater day when I can spend some time at the beach!
- I have always felt that it is very important to tell those who are special to me that I love them each and every time I speak to them, whether on the phone or in person. Life is unpredictable…
What do you do each day? How do you express your gratitude? I would love to hear from you.
I’ll leave you with one last quote, which has been a favorite of mine for years.
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”.
Ferris Bueller.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!!

Thank You.. Very true and profound. Every day should be opened as a special gift.
